Local Seniors Remember Veterans

Ladies of the Riverton Senior Center have made lap robes for our vets. Daisy Jones gave them the idea, and her sidekick Carolee said “Let’s do it.”

 Ninety-six robes were made with lots of love in the center and at home, all within five months. On Oct. 28 some in the group went to the William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home and were handed lap robes out to each veteran. It was such a great reward to see the faces on the residents when they were given their own lap robe.                   l
