Riverton, Utah – There’s no better place to experience the magic of Christmas this year than Riverton City. Santa’s arrival on the red fire engine is a longtime tradition enjoyed by generations of Riverton residents. This year the City has enriched its holiday festivities with a Night of Music: Community Christmas Concert and Holly Days

Night of Music: Community Christmas Concert is a collective effort between Riverton City, Riverton High School, concert producers Chris and Bruce Lawrence, the Riverton Children’s Choir, and more than 150 additional local choir and orchestra members, and dancers. The holiday-inspired program includes traditional, modern, and classical Christmas favorites, along with an audience sing-along. The concert will take place Friday, December 4, at the Riverton High School Auditorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Riverton City Holly Days take place on November 30, December 4, 5 7, 11, and 12. On Monday, November 30, at 6:30 p.m.  Santa and Mrs. Claus kick off the event by making their annual trip to Riverton City aboard a bright red fire engine. Because of the growing popularity of this event, and a rapidly growing community, Santa’s arrival will take place at a new venue—the newly renovated Riverton City Park.

Santa will be onsite during the remainder of the events dates to welcome kids of every age who want to share their Christmas lists. During each night of Holly Days, individuals and families can also wander throughout the Riverton City Park to see the lights and read the giant-sized storybook pages from ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Additional activities include:

·         Free Kids' Craft

·         Hot Chocolate

·         Hay Rides

·         Letters to Santa

·         Santa's Store, sponsored by SWV Chamber of Commerce & local businesses (kid-friendly gifts for parents available for $5 or less. All proceeds donated back to Holiday Heroes)

·         $2 Train rides around the park

·         Live entertainment

·         And more!

During 2015, Riverton City is celebrating its sesquicentennial year with more than 150 events. With a growing population of more than 42,000, Riverton City is dedicated to a positive quality of life for all of its residents and abundant opportunities for business success.
