You would be hard pressed to find anyone who knows more about how the city of Bluffdale functions than City Recorder Teddie Bell. Bell was the first employee hired after Bluffdale City offices moved into their old building on Redwood Road in 1990.
“This event is something that the Lions Club does for the community, so there’s no charge for it. We buy all the eggs and candy for it . . . We invite anyone who wants to come to come out,” Bluffdale Lions Club member Dean Compher said.
It’s an unusual sight: a structure with a dome atop rising out of the currently-under-reconstruction Riverton Park with the words ‘The Old Dome Meeting House’ emblazoned across its front. And it has many Riverton residents and motorists who drive by wondering just what it is and what it’s for.
