Despite a national trend, some Riverton residents won’t have their own little barnyard anytime soon.
Ladies of the Riverton Senior Center have made lap robes for our vets. Daisy Jones gave them the idea, and her sidekick Carolee said “Let’s do it.”
There’s a ton of great family fun planned in the communities of Bluffdale, Riverton and Herriman.
“I felt like we needed to give back to the community and be a part of their Christmas holiday. So we decided to create a gift that we could share with them.”
The new park is one of three regional parks funded by the $47 million Park Bond, authorized by voters in 2012.
City officials are currently developing a plan to address the more common occurrence of these storms.
This free event is a staple in Riverton, and it has been happening for over 12 years.
“Please don’t let them build homes on the mountain,” was the general comment given by every resident who chose to speak at an Oct. 8 Herriman public hearing on proposed development on the western Traverse Ridge above Herriman.
