The Riverton High School girls basketball team closed out an amazing season with a loss in the semifinals of the 5A girls state tournament.
“A cheerleader’s most important duty is to support the school and show spirit. We wanted to put school spirit before competition. It paid off because we won region and state,” Mustang cheer coach Courtney Thomas said.
“As a coach I have high expectations. These kids put so much time and effort into the season and work on achieving their goals. As a team third place is great and we plan on improving that next year,” Mustangs head wrestling coach Steve Bowdren said.
We want the same things for our daughters as we do for our sons. Wrestling teaches good qualities,” Utah Girls Wrestling Coordinator Billy Cox said.
