Know that as your candidate for State Board of Education, District 11, education was a corner-stone for me from the very beginning. Graduating summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma, I specialized in developmental biology and performed basic research at the Stephenson Research andTechnologyCenter in Norman, Oklahoma. I then transitioned into translational therapeutic research at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center inSan Antonio,Texas. During this time, I published and co-authored numerous studies based on my team’s research.

Today, I am a Technical Director and Manager of Laboratory Operations at Numira Biosciences, a provider of contract research services to the life science industries. 

I strongly advocate for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Coalition in the Utah school system to help ensure a strong local economy for the next generation of Utah students.
