Michael McCabe soars with the Eagles

Michael McCabe of Troop 1117 sponsored through Riverton 17th Ward received his Eagle Scout award on March 20. His Eagle project was trail maintenance, clean-up and creation of a partial trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

At his Eagle Court of Honor, Mike had some special guests: Utah State Representative Carl Wimmer (pictured with Mike) who spoke for a few minutes and presented him with a special Utah State Legislature pin for Eagle Scouts. Also, two members from The Mormon Battalion, Don Eastman and LaVar Burton, presented Mike with a buffalo slide for his Eagle neckerchief. Each slide is serialized and is specific to each Eagle Scout who receives one.

Mike would like to publicly thank everybody who helped him achieve his Eagle rank.
