Women today are nothing if not busy. Between taking care of their families, careers, friends and the world in general, they just don't have time to waste on subpar medical care. Western Gyn/Ob Women's Health Center, located at 3723 West 12600 South, suite 350, offers easy-to-schedule appointments and short waiting times combined with the most up-to-date medical equipment and experienced doctors.

"They are the longest continuous running ob/gyn clinic in the valley," CEO Doug Tebbs says. "The doctors here are extremely experienced in what they do so you know you're getting good medical services."

The location is very convenient, since it's on the third floor of the Riverton IHC Hospital campus right next to the labor and delivery department.

"Other places, if a doctor has to go do a delivery, they have to travel far so appointments get canceled or rescheduled," Doug says. "Here, a doctor can go do a delivery and then come back and keep seeing patients."

Another added benefit is the fact that Western Ob/Gyn is a group practice so if a physician is unable to be there for an appointment, there are other experienced physicians who can step in.

Though the practice is more than 50 years old, the offices are brand new. "It's a very ultra modern office with very comfortable waiting areas," Doug says.

Western Ob/Gyn offers obstetrics for both normal and high risk pregnancies, gynecology, ultrasounds, which include 3D images, annual wellness exams, infertility and other reproduction care, contraceptive counseling and menopause care. The clinic is designed to give women of all ages the best medical care possible in a friendly, comfortable environment.

"If you're wondering whether or not we offer a certain procedure, just ask," Doug says. "Chances are we do."

The experienced care providers include Robert Merrill, DO, Monte Merrell, MC, Alisa Carlton, MD, and Suphithaya (Sue) Anders, MD. They each specialize in all aspects of women's health care, including prevention, general obstetrics and gynecology. Mark Curtis, MD, specializes in infertility, hormone dysfunction and depression for women. Jeffrey Quinn, MD, specializes in routine and high risk obstetrics, surgical gynecology and menopausal therapy.

Doug says the staff is working on extending office hours so that women with busier schedules can have more appointment options. "We're growing very fast and as the volume picks up, we're going to look at extending our hours later into the evenings and on weekends," he says.

Western Gynecological and Obstetrical Clinic is located on the north-east corner of the IHC Riverton Hospital campus at 3723 West 12600 South, suite 350. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For appointments or questions, call 801-285-4800 or visit www.westerngynob.com.
