The Herriman Arts Council presents its summer 2011 show “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical  based on the "coat of many colors" story of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis. It will play Aug. 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15 at the Rosecrest Pavilion at W & M Butterfield Park, 6212 West 14200 South, starting each evening at 8 p.m.

The Old Testament tale gets a splashy, vigorous treatment with an energetic cast, Las Vegas-style glitz and catchy, eclectic songs, including "Any Dream Will Do," "Close Every Door," the peppy "Go, Go, Go Joseph." The title role is played by Herriman resident Ryan Hoskins, who also played a starring role in Herriman’s 2010 production of “Hello Dolly. The narrator is Bethany Hall, and Dusty Stout plays the pharaoh. Stephen Kerr returns to direct.

Nestled in the southwest corner of the valley at the base of the Oquirrh Mountain range, the Rosecrest Pavilion in Butterfield Park is the perfect place to fall in love with this high-energy mix of music and dance from rock to calypso to country western. This show is a favorite with casts and audiences alike and has been praised for its family-friendly story and toe tapping music.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.Herriman.org or by calling 801-446-5323.
