Gough Construction
Since 1973, Gough Construction has built a solid reputation on hard work, quality homes and dedication to its clients. Tim Gough is a second generation builder and works alongside his father, Blaine Gough, who started the company. Tim says the company started as a construction company and evolved into a full service company that handles every aspect of residential and commercial construction.
In the 1990s Gough Homes was developed. It focused more on building homes and new communities. Both divisions are still owned by the Gough family and the commitment to providing the best service and products to its customers hasn’t changed.
“We started Gough Homes to split our attention so that while Gough Construction focused on commercial projects like Daybreak and Rio Tinto Stadium, the homes side could focus entirely in building new homes all over the valley,” Tim says.
Gough Homes doesn’t just build homes, it builds communities. Its latest project is the Tolman Farms community at 9150 South 300 East. This 23-lot community has been designed as a traditional neighborhood development that focuses on creating a neighborly feel. The houses have big porches that invite neighbors to stop and visit, Tim says.
Staying with the history of the area, Gough Homes decided to keep the name of the farm that used to be on the land. Older Sandy residents will remember purchasing eggs and fresh vegetables from the Tolman Farm; Tim says it was important to the company to try to preserve that heritage.
Building on Tolman Farms is scheduled to start in December and there are still many lots available. The homes start in the $280,000 range and range from 1,500 to 2,400 square feet with have three to four bedrooms, depending on the model. From ramblers to two-story homes, there is a design that will make your family happy and come in within your budget.
“We’ve been building homes for more than 30 years, we know what people want,” Tim says. “A lot of our business comes from customers referrals. There are many of our customers who have had three or four homes built by us. It’s a testament to our dedication to our clients.”
Gough Homes has residential communities across the valley. Tim says he grew up in the area near Tolman Farms and when the property became available, he knew it would make a great place for a new community.
“It’s so close to everything – Jordan Commons, the freeway, the Quarry Bend shopping area,” he says. “But it’s tucked away in a quiet residential area.”
