We are getting ready for the annual Knight of Heroes. This is an annual event where we honor fire and police “heroes” as well as “hero” businesses and leaders. We are looking for Big Business of the Year (more than 20 employees), Small Business of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, Business Man of the Year and Volunteer/Service Person of the Year. Nominations are welcome at susan@swvchamber.org. The person or company is nominated for going above and beyond for customer service, community service or business/chamber involvement or for anything that you think sets them apart from other businesses. At the monthly lunch meeting we swore in the new board members: Gerardo Castillo, from Media One; Ben Young, from Zions Bank; Stephanni Myers, from Xcel Marketing; Amanda Norman; from Sport Clips; and Kristi Kemp, from Herriman High School. We are also welcoming a new chairperson—Ryan Sorenson from Zions Bank. Thanks to our past board members for their service.
