BHS lacrosse hosts free clinic
The Bingham High School Boys and Girls lacrosse teams will be hosting a free lacrosse clinic for boys and girls second through sixth grade. The clinic will be on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10a.m. to noon at the South Jordan Rec Center.
Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport in the United States. Youth participation in the sport has grown over 500 percent since 1999 to nearly 250,000. No sport has grown faster at the high school level over the last 10 years and there are now an estimated 200,000 high school players.
Both the boys and girls lacrosse teams will have coaches, players and equipment on hand to help teach some of the basic skills of lacrosse. The clinic is for new and first year players and parents of South Jordan based elementary schools.
Boys, please RSVP to Scott White at 801-254-7674 and girls RSVP to Shaun Judd 801-230-0365 as participation will be limited.
